New Bitmap Conversion Tool 2.0 Ready
In case you missed it, our new
Bitmap Conversion Tool 2.0 has been released and is in the
forum for download. It now uses the .NET framework,
converts pictures from color to B&W, has scan line and
checkered options to reduce toner use, can read in several
other image formats, and generates more efficient code.
New Text Field Control Released
Also new in the bag of
tricks that you might have missed is the new text field
control. It can be found in the additional controls
section. Unlike a label, the background can be filled, a
border can be specified, and the text can be justified.
Great for making the answers to your fields stand out more on
printouts or to align columns dealing with money.
New Excel Control in the Works We have
been hard at work creating a new Excel conversion tool from
the ground up. This tools allows you to print reports to
a download file in Excel format. The new version allows
many new customization options to be controlled from within
your report and many prior limitations have been removed.

02/09/09 - New Updates
New Controls! We have
added three new controls for you to add into your current RWPGX
installation. One is a control to help you draw circles
and ellipses on a page. This comes in handy if you need to
circle answers to items on a page. Another is a
meter/gauge control that is very detailed and the units can have
a custom scale to show warning levels. The third control
is a character guide that helps the person filling out a form
write neat and fill in columns of numbers.
BMP Conversion Tool Update
A small bug was fixed in our BMP Conversion tool, so you will
want to download the new version if you have not already.
New Page Conversion Utility
We have added a new trick to our bag. Now you can convert
pages printed in MS Word and other popular software products
into a MT RW macro. This allows you to print additional
documents with your MT reports from one place. We have
even combined this with other elements of RWPGX to allow forms
to be filled out using data pulled from MT (ok, we admit, it
took a bit of work to pull it off, but it can be done)!
In the works... We are
working on a new version of the BMP conversion tool. This
new tool can convert color images to B&W format for you, has
preview modes, and a toner saving option during conversion.
Also, the MT code that is generated has been optimized a bit to
reduce space needed within macros.
The long awaited Grid
Control is almost ready to be released. It can print
tables, create Excel files (yes, straight from MT and with data
conversions that work), create Access files, and also dump data
to delimited text files much faster. This control was
planned on being release a while back, but we have been adding
so much to it, we think you will agree that it was worth the
wait - and plans are already in the works to improve it even
more after release the first version!
Thanks... A big thanks
to all of you who have been providing feed back and who have
been leaving positive comments on the Meditech-L. Please
feel free to post your suggestions, comments, bug fixes, etc. in
our forums as well or e-mail us. We want to hear from you.

MUSE International Conference
Our presentation at MUSE International in
Texas, was a big success. I'd like to thank those who
attended and encourage you to spread the word.
Our first ring for release is now
available in the Community Forum. You'll need to register to get
access to the download. Keep on the
look-out for the next big update to the ring. We've got some
great modules that will soon be available once we've completed
the documentation.
If you have any questions feel free to post them in the
forum or send us an email.

Polishing the code
With MUSE coming up fast, we've been hard at work trying to
clean up and streamline all of our modules. Our first release
should be fantastic, but already we're seeing ways to revise
many modules to make them more efficient.
Many new options have been added to some of our best modules
and we've made several breakthroughs that have revealed many new
and exciting things we thought we'd never be able to accomplish.
See you at MUSE!
03/15/08 -RWPGX Online
RWPGX Online community has been brought Live in preparation
for the 2008 International Muse Conference. The site includes
pages that provide a general overview of RWPGX and a Community
Forum for the exchange of information, downloading and
development of RWPGX.
01/10/08 - Many
Layers
After months of developing individual modules, we pulled them
all together in on single report. Though they are bound to a
single report, they each still operate independently. all the
data was collected and sorted using Report Writers engine and a
set of macro. Instead of using the picture to display it, a
series of calls were made to each module carrying the data and
plotting attributes. The results we better than expected.
As we continue to develop the RWPGX format, we are streamlining
the implementation process to make it easy for anyone to use.
10/21/07 - New Horizons
The development of RWPGX has really taken off and moving at a
breakneck pace. As we move forward, we are finding ways to
easier ways to accomplish our goals. Things that were previously
thought to be impossible, now are done with ease.
Now realizing the full potential of RWPGX, we have begun to
set in place an architecture that will help to strengthen the
stability, functionality and facileness of development.
09/01/07 RWPGX is Born
Our hospital was in a bind. They needed a way to produce a
compensation report, but the only option currently available was
an outside vendor. Management was a bit concerned with allowing
private employee data to be handles by another company, and
asked for other possible solutions. In the process of exploring
for a new possibilities, the idea of developing an in-house
utility was discussed. After a little research and a little
imagination, we broke ground on the first modules for RWPGX.
